Welcome to Manchester Sharks - Manchester's Gay & Lesbian Water Polo Club

It must be something in the water...

What makes a water polo player? Take the fitness of a swimmer mixed with the skill of a footballer and then add the power of a rugby player , that's a water polo player.

Have you got the balls?

We're always on the lookout for new players & supporters. It doesn't matter if you have experience or not, we'll show you the works.

The Manchester Sharks  are a team of gays and lesbians with a passion for water polo. The Sharks are about fun, fitness, friendship, international travel and goal scoring of course! We are based in Manchester and have a weekly training session. Compete in some of the world's largest sporting events. Play in a local league. Be a part of an essential part of the gay community in Manchester.

Our Weekly training session takes place at East Manchester Leisure Centre, Grey Mare Lane (off Alan Turning Way), in Sports City every Thursday at 8pm.

No previous experience is necessary, open to men and women; just bring your swimwear and a towel. See you in reception at 7.45pm

New Swimming Pool

From 30 October 2014 we move to our new home at the newly built leisure centre in Sports City.
