|
I have never played before, can I still train? Yes. Manchester Sharks is an all abilities club. We strongly promote water polo and will develop your potential. All we ask is that you can Swim 200m within a reasonable time.

What should I expect?
Water polo is a hard sport. You'll be thrown into a deep water
& given fitness and skills training. Polo isn't like other
sports such as rugby or football, you can't stop and rest, you're
in deep water. At first water polo is will tire you out, stick
with it each session gets easier and easier, then you grow to
love it. |
|
I'm straight, may I still train?
Yes. We are totally committed to equal opportunities, and place
no biases on sexual orientation(it's not your fault you're straight,
we understand). All that we ask is that you understand and respect
the nature of the club. |
|
Where do you train?
We train Thursday's at 7pm at Miles Platting
Leisure Centre, Varley Street, Manchester M40 8EE. |
|
Do I have to play in (a) league/tournaments? No, you're not expected to play in any matches. However you will be encouraged to take part, and we will make every effort regardless of your ability to ensure you're able to take part. |
