First Womens session 28 February 2008 |
|
The Sharks for the first
time hosted a womens training session. Guest coach Lorraine Brown
aided by the club womens rep Eli Marston took over half the clubs
pool space for a women only training. Players both current and first
timers trained together to improve fitness and skills. Eli, The Sharks
Womens Rep said "The event was a great suscess and a good building
block in the development of the clubs womens team". The club is very
proud of the new womens squad and will continue to offer womens sessions

AGM & Committee Elections 31 January 2008 |

| The Sharks AGM was held on
Thursday, 31st January 2008.The Chair Gareth Parkinson summarised
the activities of the club over the year, as given in his Annual Report
circulated to members. Thanks were given to our coach Geoff Holme
and Taurus Bar / Canal-st.co.uk for their vital support during the
year. The Club Elections, one nomination was received for Club Secretary
- Barry Cox, one for Members Rep. - Ludo Otterbein. These members
were duly elected to the posts. Darren Jones was confirmed as Welfare
Rep. The club audited accounts were presented by the Treasurer, Lee
Hughes. It was noted that at present the club depends on social events
and fundraising to meet pool hire and coaching costs. It was vital
that members participate and contribute to these. The accounts were
approved and the auditor (Ben Lister) re-appointed as auditor.Custodians
of club property were confirmed (as per ASA guidance). They will be
the executive club members : Gareth Parkinson, Lee Hughes and Barry
Cox |
