Training

We have two sessions. Our main training  takes place every Thurday at Mile Platting Leisure Centre, Varley Street.

We ask that you turn up at 18.45 for a 19.00 start. New players please contact us

Details of the womens sessions can be found on the womens page

At the end of the session why not join us for a drink at Taurus bar, 1 Canal Street.

Please note that we train in a deep water pool (no shallow end), therefore you should be a reasonable swimmer. Any form of swimwear is suitable, however this is polo, so you might want to consider tighter fitting swimwear.

The training session will focus on fitness, polo skills, technique, and above all fun.

The novice water polo player will enjoy the challenge of learning new skills and playing in a physical team game, whilst those who are looking for a competitive environment will find that they are stretched with a session packed with core skills and technical and tactical work that prepares the team to compete in the local Manchester leagues as well as international master competitions.

Quailty Coaching is provided by Lorraine

She competed for Scotland in water polo tournaments and was a world champion in lifesaving in 1992 at the world championships in Lubeck that year.
